Is entry free?
Yes — entry is completely free. Snack boxes are an optional $5 each if you’d like some.
Do I have to pay for snacks?
No. Snack boxes are optional — $5 each, and you order as many as your group wants, or none at all. What we do need is your RSVP, since it decides the venue.
Why is an RSVP required?
We choose the venue and order snacks based on the head count, so please RSVP for everyone in your group.
Is there an RSVP deadline?
Yes — please RSVP by August 10, 2026 so we can confirm the venue and order snacks. Snack contributions are also due by August 10, and are non-refundable after that date.
How many snack boxes should I order?
However many your group would like — there’s no per-person rule. A family of 5 might order just 2 boxes, or none at all. Each box is $5. Kids are always welcome, free.
How do I contribute for snacks?
After you RSVP you’ll get a confirmation number. Send $5 per box via Zelle to 408-913-0477 (Surbhi Gupta) with your name and that confirmation number in the memo, before the event.
Can I pay at the event instead?
No — we order snacks ahead of time based on the count, so please send your contribution via Zelle in advance rather than at the door.
Can I RSVP for my whole family?
Absolutely — just enter your number of guests (age 5+) and kids under 5 when you register.
Where is it, and when will I know the exact venue?
It’s at either Patterson Park (Fremont) or Newark Community Center Park. We’ll email everyone the confirmed location once the RSVP count is set.
What time is it?
Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Is parking available?
Yes — both venues are public parks with parking.
What snacks will be served?
Light vegetarian snacks and refreshments.
What if I RSVP but can’t make it?
Just let us know. If you contributed and cancel on or before August 10, we’ll refund it. After August 10 the snacks are already ordered, so contributions are non-refundable.
What if it rains?
It’s an outdoor park event. If the weather looks bad, we’ll email all registered guests with any change.
